Are you correcting, or just observing?
He who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to the church.
Associate Pastor Mireya San.
Are you following the fire or the smoke?
A direct question:
Do you correct what you see, or do you wait for someone else to do it?
Many have become accustomed to watching family plans fall apart… without doing anything. They see relationships breaking, hearts growing cold, yet remain passive.
The family cannot be ignored
A family is made up of parents and children.
And every member matters.
Ignoring one weakens everyone.
Like a hand:
each finger has its function.
If one fails, the whole hand loses strength.
A family is meant to support, not divide.
The danger of ignoring
When situations are ignored, the enemy finds room.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.”
(John 10:10)
The problem is often not something big.
It’s small ideas, thoughts, and poorly managed emotions:
- “they don’t love me”
- “they don’t care about me”
These lies open doors to:
- hatred
- resentment
- division
When the home becomes a battlefield
Without correction, the family becomes distorted.
They live under the same roof…
but act like enemies.
Words become weapons.
Feelings overpower truth.
And in this way, the plans God designed from the beginning are destroyed.
“For I know the plans I have for you…”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
Correcting in time is a responsibility
Not correcting is also a decision.
And it has consequences.
You cannot hide what you failed to do:
correct in time.
David: the one ignored but chosen by God
David was ignored by his family.
Not even his own father considered him when the prophet came.
But what the family ignored…
God chose.
(1 Samuel 16:5–13)
God does not see as man sees.
Later, that same David became an instrument of healing for others.
(1 Samuel 16:14–23)
The power of words
Words are not neutral:
- Right words build
- Wrong words destroy
A family can rise…
or fall… based on what is spoken within it.
Unity is God’s design
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
(Psalm 133)
Where there is unity:
✔ there is blessing
✔ there is life
✔ there is God’s presence
Fire or smoke
Smoke confuses.
It makes you cry… but you cannot see.
Fire cleanses.
It consumes what is in the way.
It transforms.
The decision is clear:
👉 Do not follow the smoke
👉 Follow the fire
Conclusion
Do not ignore what you must correct.
Do not allow silence to destroy your family.
Act. Correct. Build.
Christ is coming soon.
“Pay attention, and may God give you understanding in everything.”
(2 Corinthians 2:7)
