Are You in Enemy Territory? Be Careful What You Allow Into Your Life!

He who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to the Church.

Associate Pastor Mireya San

Are You in the Right Place or in Enemy Territory?

Have you ever wondered why, despite your efforts to live well, your life seems to be surrounded by conflict, bitterness, confusion, and problems you cannot overcome?

Perhaps the problem is not only what is happening around you, but also where you have chosen to remain and the influences you are allowing into your life.

Many people desire to live in peace, have a stable family, and enjoy a life according to God's will. Yet they continue filling their minds with words, conversations, thoughts, and influences that directly contradict what God teaches in His Word.

How can you expect good results if you continually feed your heart with the very things that are destroying you?

You cannot willingly remain in an environment filled with lies, vulgarity, and wickedness without exposing yourself to its consequences. What you hear, what you accept, and what you choose to associate with influence your way of thinking and, ultimately, your way of living.

Speaking about the devil, Jesus declared:

"When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

John 8:44 (KJV)

The enemy uses deception to separate people from the truth. His purpose is to make them believe they can live apart from God's principles and still enjoy the results of obedience.

But lies can never produce the freedom that is found only in the truth.

Wake up! Do not remain in a place that is destroying your spiritual life while expecting to receive the benefits of walking with God.

Be Careful What You Allow Into Your Mind

Everything begins with what you allow into your inner life.

A conversation filled with vulgarity may seem insignificant. A lie may appear harmless. An offensive word may be justified as a simple expression of anger. However, when these things become part of your daily life, they begin to influence the way you think, speak, and react.

What once made you uncomfortable may eventually seem normal. What you previously recognized as wrong begins to become part of your behavior.

And without realizing it, you may end up speaking in the same way as the people whose words you once rejected.

Scripture declares:

"Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners."

1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)

This warning reminds us that the influences we accept have consequences. Not every environment is beneficial to our spiritual growth, and not every conversation helps strengthen our faith.

This does not mean we should despise or reject people. As children of God, we are called to love others and share the truth. However, loving people does not mean allowing their wrong practices to determine our conduct.

You can be surrounded by people who do not know the truth without allowing their words to govern your heart.

That is why you must learn to discern what you are hearing, what you are believing, and what you are allowing to remain in your mind.

Not every thought deserves your attention. Not every conversation deserves your participation. Not every influence should have access to your life.

Harmful Words Can Become Poison to Your Heart

Some people live in a constant state of anger, resentment, and bitterness. Their conversations are filled with criticism, insults, complaints, and words that destroy rather than build up.

Over time, these attitudes affect their family relationships, friendships, and personal peace.

The Bible teaches us:

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Ephesians 4:29 (KJV)

Words are not insignificant. What we say reveals much about what we have allowed to grow in our hearts.

Jesus said:

"For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

Matthew 12:34 (KJV)

If you constantly feed your mind with lies, offenses, and destructive conversations, you should not be surprised when those same things begin to appear in your words and attitudes.

Harmful words are like poison that, when allowed to remain in the heart, eventually affects the way we treat others.

Perhaps you have come to believe that this is simply your personality and that you will never change. Maybe you justify your reactions by saying that people provoke you or that circumstances force you to respond that way.

But you need to recognize that you cannot continue holding others responsible for the decisions you make.

God has given you His Word so that you can learn to correct your way of thinking and living.

Ask yourself: Are my words building up my family or hurting them? Am I bringing peace or creating conflict? Does what I say reflect God's truth or the influences I have allowed into my heart?

Do not expect everything around you to change while you refuse to correct what you know is wrong.

Do Not Deceive Yourself! Your Decisions Have Consequences

One of humanity's greatest mistakes is believing that we can continue doing what is wrong without facing the consequences.

Some people think they can surround themselves with harmful influences, practice deception, nurture resentment, and act against God's Word without affecting their future.

But Scripture is clear:

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

Pay attention to this warning!

You cannot sow lies and expect to reap trust. You cannot sow offensive words and expect healthy relationships. You cannot continually nurture anger and expect to live in peace.

The decisions you make today are influencing what you will experience tomorrow.

Perhaps you have allowed certain attitudes to destroy important relationships. Maybe you have hurt people who love you or wasted opportunities because you refused to listen to God's instruction.

Stop putting your future at risk by refusing to correct your present.

Acknowledging your mistakes is not a sign of weakness. It is the first step toward leaving behind what is harming you.

Do not deceive yourself into thinking that time alone will resolve what you need to correct through obedience to the Word.

God cannot be mocked. His principles remain, even when people choose to ignore them.

Are You Bringing Into Your Family the Very Things That Are Destroying You?

The influences you allow into your life do not always affect you alone. Many times, they end up harming the people who live with you.

When someone constantly nurtures anger, vulgarity, lies, and resentment, those attitudes can begin to manifest within the home.

Family members begin experiencing the consequences of hurtful words, unnecessary arguments, distrust, and behaviors that destroy harmony.

Have you stopped to consider what you are bringing into your home?

Are you bringing words of faith, wisdom, and truth? Or are you bringing in conflict, bitterness, and thoughts you learned in environments where God's Word has no place?

You cannot control every circumstance or the decisions of those around you, but you can decide which influences you accept and how you respond to them.

Scripture exhorts us:

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice."

Ephesians 4:31 (KJV)

Notice that God is not teaching us to preserve these attitudes or justify them. He calls us to put them away.

Your home should not become the place where you release all the bitterness you have allowed to accumulate in your heart.

Learn to recognize when you need to remain silent, correct an attitude, ask for forgiveness, or step away from a conversation that will only produce conflict.

Do not allow what you hear outside your home to destroy the peace of your family.

Why Do You Keep Walking Along the Path of Death?

Some people know they are making wrong decisions, yet they continue moving in the same direction.

They recognize that certain relationships, environments, and habits are harming their lives, but they refuse to walk away from them.

It is like walking dangerously close to the edge of a cliff while insisting that nothing bad will happen.

Why continue exposing yourself to something you know can destroy you?

The problem is not always a lack of knowledge. Many times, people have heard the truth but do not want to correct their way of thinking.

Jesus declared:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 14:6 (KJV)

Christ did not say He was one of many ways! He declared that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

This means that our spiritual direction should not be determined by the opinions of the world, the lies of the enemy, or our own desires.

The true way has a destination: Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father.

It is not enough to be near the way. You must walk in the truth.

There is a great difference between knowing what Jesus taught and deciding to live according to His words.

You can listen to biblical teachings for years, but if you continue rejecting correction and practicing what contradicts Scripture, you need to sincerely examine your heart.

Do not remain beside the path while watching others advance in the truth. Make the decision to walk in it.

Look at What You Have Lost by Refusing to Correct Your Thinking

There are moments when we need to stop and honestly examine the results of our decisions.

Look back and ask yourself: How many opportunities have I wasted? How many relationships have I damaged because of the way I speak? How many conflicts could I have avoided if I had listened to God's instruction?

Have you allowed pride, lies, or anger to lead you into a condition you never wanted to experience?

Poverty is not always manifested solely through a lack of financial resources. A person can experience spiritual poverty when they neglect their relationship with God, or become limited in their thinking when they refuse instruction and correction.

Even someone who possesses material wealth can live filled with bitterness, without peace, and with deeply damaged relationships.

But God does not want you to live under the control of deception and destruction.

The apostle John wrote:

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

3 John 1:2 (KJV)

These words express the apostle's desire for Gaius's well-being and remind us of the importance of a healthy spiritual life.

This does not mean that every financial difficulty or illness is the result of a wrong decision. Rather, it means recognizing that our inner life matters and that we need to grow in the knowledge of the truth.

Do not settle for changing only your circumstances. Allow God's Word to transform your way of thinking.

Because if your thoughts remain the same, you risk repeating the decisions that led you into the problems you are facing today.

The Enemy Does Not Want to Help You: He Wants to Destroy You

One of the most dangerous lies is believing that something that separates us from God can offer us a better life.

The enemy presents deception as freedom, disobedience as an advantage, and wrong decisions as though they have no consequences.

But Jesus clearly revealed the contrast:

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10 (KJV)

What a tremendous difference exists between what Christ offers and what leads to destruction!

Jesus came to give us life. His words are truth, and in Him we find the way to the Father.

That is why you cannot believe that deception is helping you simply because it temporarily offers satisfaction, acceptance, or an apparent advantage.

A lie will never be a good counselor.

However, it is important to understand that our spiritual battle must not become a war against people.

The apostle Paul wrote:

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood.

This means we should not treat people as though they were our true enemy. We must learn to recognize lies, resist evil, and remain steadfast in the truth without allowing hatred to govern our actions.

Do not confuse people with the spiritual influences you need to reject.

God calls us to walk in love while remaining firm in His principles.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith!

You were not called to live defeated by deception, resentment, or wrong decisions.

God has given you His Word so that you can learn to recognize the truth and remain steadfast in it.

The apostle Paul exhorted Timothy:

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called."

1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV)

Fight the good fight of faith!

This does not mean living in constant arguments with people or trying to impose your opinions on them. It means standing firm in what God has said, even when circumstances, influences, or your own thoughts attempt to lead you in another direction.

It is a battle that requires perseverance, knowledge of Scripture, and a willingness to obey.

When anger tries to control your words, remember what God teaches about speaking words that build others up.

When a lie seems like an easy way out, remember that Christ is the truth.

When harmful influences attempt to draw you away from your convictions, remember that your decisions have consequences.

And when you feel tempted to return to what once harmed you, remember that Jesus came to give you life.

You cannot fight the good fight of faith while willingly continuing to feed the very things that weaken your trust in God.

Strengthen your knowledge of the Word. Learn to discern between truth and deception. Correct your thinking and remain steadfast in Christ.

Eternal Life Begins With Knowing the Only True God

There is something far more important than achieving material well-being, gaining recognition, or enjoying a life without difficulties.

What matters most is truly knowing God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus declared:

"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

John 17:3 (KJV)

Eternal life is not simply about possessing religious information or repeating certain expressions about God.

Jesus connected eternal life with knowing the Father and Jesus Christ, whom He sent.

That is why you need more than simply hearing about Christ. You need to receive His Word, believe in Him, and remain in the truth.

Do not allow deception to rob you of the opportunity to truly know God.

Do not exchange truth for lies. Do not sacrifice your spiritual life for the acceptance of those who reject the principles of Scripture.

And do not continue walking in a direction that you know is leading you away from Christ.

The true way does not lead to destruction, but to the Father through Jesus Christ.

Christ Is Coming Soon! In Whose Territory Will He Find You?

Today is a good time to examine your life.

What is occupying your thoughts? What kinds of conversations are you allowing? What influences are shaping the way you live?

Have you allowed lies, anger, or bitterness to damage your relationship with God and your family?

Are you walking in the truth, or are you merely standing near it without deciding to obey?

Stop justifying what you know is wrong.

If you recognize that you have allowed destructive influences into your life, make the decision to correct your course. If your words are hurting those around you, begin speaking according to God's instruction. If you have placed your trust in deception, return to the truth of His Word.

Do not willingly remain in a place that is destroying you while Christ is calling you to walk in life and truth.

Remember, you do not have to keep repeating the same mistakes. You can acknowledge your wrong decisions, repent, and begin acting according to what God has established.

The apostle Paul wrote:

"Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things."

2 Timothy 2:7 (KJV)

Faith in Action

This week, examine three areas of your life: what you listen to, what you say, and the influences you accept.

Identify whether any of these areas are feeding thoughts of deception, anger, resentment, or disobedience. Search the Scriptures to discover what God teaches about those attitudes, and make a concrete decision to correct them.

If you have hurt someone with your words, acknowledge your mistake and seek to restore that relationship. If you are participating in conversations that do not build others up, stop encouraging them. If you have allowed a lie to govern your decisions, replace it with the truth of God's Word.

It is not enough to recognize that you are in the wrong place. You must decide to leave it and begin walking in the right direction.

Share this message with someone who needs to remember that lies destroy, but Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

Christ Is Coming Soon! Pay attention, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
