Are you living a real faith… or just an appearance?

Have you confessed that you fell into hypocrisy?

Hypocrisy is appearance. It is showing a spiritual image that does not match the inner reality. It is living a “temple life,” but not a true spiritual life.

God cannot be mocked (Galatians 6:7). Every appearance has consequences. Sooner or later, what is false falls and exposes the nakedness of the heart.

Temple life vs. spiritual life

Temple life is having an appearance of godliness (2 Timothy 3:5), but without evidence of transformation.
Spiritual life is growing in the Word, developing a real relationship with God, and allowing that relationship to produce change.

When there is only appearance, you become an obstacle to those who come after you. They become disappointed, grow cold, and stop seeking to consecrate themselves to the living God (Matthew 18:6). To be a stumbling block is serious, because it leads others to turn away from the Way (John 14:6).

The question is direct:
What are you seeking by being in the Church?

Light or appearance

Jesus said:

“You are the light of the world.”
(Matthew 5:14)

He did not say, “You are appearance.”
He said: light.

He also said:

“You are the salt of the earth.”
(Matthew 5:13)

Salt gives flavor.
What does your life taste like?
Truth… or hypocrisy?

Christ is coming soon. There is no time to waste living a superficial faith.

Samson: when appearance replaces obedience

Samson thought he could play with the truth. He lived in appearance with Delilah until he lost his strength, his vision, and his authority (Judges 16). When he thought God was still with him, God had already departed (Judges 16:20).

Appearance left him blind, bound, and serving his enemies.

Jonah: when you think you’re right, but you’re running away

Jonah received a clear command: go to Nineveh (Jonah 1:1).
He chose to go in the opposite direction, believing he was right. He ended up in the belly of the great fish.

Where are you today?
In peace… or in a place of anguish caused by disobedience and appearance?

There is an opportunity to return

God does not only confront; He also invites:

“Call to Me, and I will answer you.”
(Jeremiah 33:3)

You can leave appearance behind.
You can confess.
You can return to an authentic spiritual life.

Hypocrisy maintains an image.
Spiritual life transforms the heart.

Christ is coming soon.
It is time to be true light, not a religious façade.

“Pay attention, and may God give you understanding in everything.”
(2 Timothy 2:7)
