Do You Have a Foolish Heart?

One of the most dangerous conditions is not making a mistake, but insisting on repeating the same mistake after you have already been warned.

A foolish heart hears the Word and thinks, “That is for someone else.” God speaks, corrects, and shows the way, yet the person refuses to recognize that the message is also for them.

The question is direct:

How many times will God have to warn you before you decide to change?

Scripture says:

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
(Proverbs 22:3)

Wisdom is not only recognizing danger. Wisdom takes action before suffering the consequences.

When God Speaks, Do You Recognize His Voice?

A hardened heart hears correction and responds:

“I’m fine.”

“That’s not for me.”

“I don’t need to change.”

But a sensitive heart asks:

“Lord, what are You trying to show me?”

When God points something out in our lives, He does not do it to destroy us, but to keep us from continuing down a path that can harm us.

The wise person sees danger and changes direction.

The foolish person sees it, ignores it, and keeps walking toward it.

Do Not Forget Who Sustains Your Life

A foolish heart can reach the point of believing that it does not need God.

But every day you wake up is evidence of His mercy.

You are alive because God has given you life.

You breathe because He still allows you to breathe.

Every new day is an opportunity to acknowledge Him, give Him thanks, and turn your heart toward Him.

And in a world where wickedness increases and the love of many grows cold (Matthew 24:12), we need to draw closer to God, not farther away from Him.

Seek God While There Is Still Time

The Lord’s invitation remains open:

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”
(Isaiah 55:6)

Do not put off until tomorrow what God is placing before you today.

Do not wait for a crisis before you begin seeking Him.

Do not wait until you lose something important before valuing His direction.

Today you can return.

Today you can repent.

Today you can change direction.

Abandon the Wrong Path

The Word continues:

“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord.”
(Isaiah 55:7)

Notice that God is not speaking only about changing our actions.

He also speaks about abandoning our wrong thoughts.

Because before a wrong action is manifested, it was often first a thought that you allowed to remain in your mind.

That is why true change begins on the inside.

Change your thinking.

Change your direction.

Return to God.

God Receives a Repentant Heart

Perhaps you recognize that you have made mistakes.

Perhaps you have ignored warnings.

Perhaps you made decisions that are now producing painful consequences.

That does not mean God has closed the door.

Scripture declares:

“A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”
(Psalm 51:17)

God does not reject those who come to Him sincerely.

Repentance is not simply feeling sorrow for what happened. It is recognizing the error and deciding not to continue down the same path.

Give Your Heart to God

The Lord gives us a deeply personal invitation:

“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”
(Proverbs 23:26)

God is not asking only for your words.

He wants your heart.

Because when God governs the heart, He can also direct your thoughts, words, decisions, and behavior.

The question is:

Where are your eyes focused?

If you constantly look toward the world, you will eventually follow its ways.

But when your eyes remain on Christ, you begin to walk in the direction of truth.

Do Not Turn a Lie Into Your Truth

One of the greatest dangers of deception is repeating a lie so many times that you eventually begin to believe it.

You can convince yourself that something wrong is right.

You can justify an attitude you know you need to change.

You can build an appearance to hide reality.

But a lie will never become truth simply because you have chosen to believe it.

Jesus taught:

“For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.”
(Mark 4:22)

Appearances may deceive people.

But they can never deceive God.

Lies Always Lead to Darkness

Jesus clearly identified the origin of lies:

“He is a liar, and the father of it.”
(John 8:44)

The enemy uses lies to confuse, divide, and keep people away from the truth.

That is why you must learn to cast out every thought that contradicts what God has said.

Do not feed deception.

Do not justify what is wrong.

Do not allow a lie to govern your heart.

Come to Christ, because He is the truth (John 14:6).

The Word Is Alive

The answer for a hardened heart is not found in human opinions, but in the Word of God.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful.”
(Hebrews 4:12)

The Word confronts, but it also heals.

It corrects, but it also restores.

It reveals what is hidden, but it also shows us the way to change.

So when God speaks to you through His Word, do not harden your heart.

Listen.

Acknowledge.

Obey.

Do Not Remain in Darkness

Romans warns us about those who knew God but did not glorify Him or give Him thanks:

“But became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”
(Romans 1:21)

A heart that continually rejects the truth eventually loses clarity.

So do not take God’s warnings lightly.

If He is showing you something, deal with it now.

Christ Is Coming Soon

Christ is coming soon.

Do not continue justifying what God is asking you to change.

Do not keep going from one mistake to another when the truth is right in front of you.

Leave the lies behind.

Abandon the wrong path.

Give your heart to the Lord.

Seek God while He may be found, and allow His Word to illuminate everything that still remains in darkness.

A wise heart is not one that never makes mistakes.

It is one that listens to correction, recognizes its error, and decides to change.

“Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.”
(2 Timothy 2:7)

👉 Today is the day to ask yourself, “Lord, what do You want me to change?” Do not reject His correction or assume that it is always meant for someone else. If God is speaking to your heart, listen, repent, and return to Him. Christ is alive, His Word is alive, and there is still time to choose the truth and walk in the light.
