Is Your Heart Wearing a Disguise?
He Who Has Ears to Hear, Let Him Hear What the Holy Spirit Says to the Church

Is Your Heart Wearing a Disguise?
Many people present one image at church, another at home, and a completely different one in public or at work. They appear kind and spiritual in front of others, yet behind closed doors they are ruled by anger, deception, bitterness, and a lack of self-control.
The question is serious:
Who are you when no one is watching?
God does not merely look at outward appearances—He looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Our true character is ultimately revealed by the way we treat our family, speak to our spouse, and raise our children.
Your Behavior Reveals the Condition of Your Heart
Your words, reactions, and decisions speak louder than any sermon you could ever preach.
If your mouth is continually filled with anger, criticism, cursing, or lies, the problem is not simply your speech—it is a heart that needs to be transformed.
Jesus taught:
"For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."
(Luke 6:45)
Before changing your words, God wants to heal your heart.
Lies Destroy What God Wants to Build
When a person becomes comfortable with lying, justifying sin, or pretending to be someone they are not, they open the door for the enemy to influence their thoughts and decisions.
Scripture declares:
"You are of your father the devil... for he is a liar and the father of lies."
(John 8:44)
Lies never build.
They only produce:
- distrust,
- division,
- resentment,
- and destruction within the family.
That is why Jesus said the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).
A Spring Cannot Produce Two Kinds of Water
James asks a question that challenges every believer:
"Can both fresh water and bitter water flow from the same spring?"
(James 3:11–12)
We cannot praise God with our lips while using those same lips to wound the people we love.
We cannot raise our hands in worship on Sunday and use our tongue to destroy others on Monday.
God calls us to live lives of integrity.
God Has a Better Plan for Your Life
Perhaps you have spent years living under anger, bitterness, or frustration.
But that is not the life God designed for you.
He declares:
"For I know the plans I have for you... plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
(Jeremiah 29:11)
There is still time to change.
There is still time to recover what seems lost.
There is still time to rebuild your family upon the solid foundation of Christ.
Christ Is Still Speaking
Jesus is not distant.
He is alive.
He hears.
He speaks.
He answers.
His Word continues to transform lives today.
Do not allow the voice of the enemy to have greater influence over your heart than the voice of God.
Lies produce fear, guilt, and hopelessness.
Truth brings freedom, peace, and restoration.
Give Your Heart to the Lord
God's invitation remains the same:
"My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes delight in my ways."
(Proverbs 23:26)
He also says:
"My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commandments within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding..."
(Proverbs 2:1–2)
True transformation begins when we allow God's Word to renew the way we think.
Your Family Needs to See the Change
Your children need an example.
Your husband or wife needs a spouse who reflects the character of Christ.
Life passes quickly.
So today it is worth asking yourself:
What spiritual legacy am I leaving for my family?
Do not wait until you lose what matters most before deciding to change.
Restore Your Home
Do not foolishly destroy with your own hands what God desires to bless.
Come to Christ.
Listen to His counsel.
Allow His wisdom to direct every step of your life.
Scripture declares that Christ is:
"The power of God and the wisdom of God."
(1 Corinthians 1:24, 30)
And make Job's prayer your own:
"Teach me what I do not see; if I have done wrong, I will do so no more."
(Job 34:32)
That is the attitude of a heart that is willing to be transformed.
Christ Is Coming Soon
Christ is coming soon.
Stop living behind a spiritual mask.
Allow God to remove every disguise, heal your heart, and restore your life from the inside out.
When the heart changes, words change.
When words change, families are restored.
And when Christ rules the heart, His peace begins to rule the home.
"Pay attention, and may God give you understanding in everything."
(2 Timothy 2:7)
👉 Today is the day to leave behind appearances and live with integrity before God. Surrender your life completely to Him, allow His Word to transform your character, and become the example your family needs. Christ can restore what seemed lost and make your home a place where His love, truth, and peace reign.
