What you consume defines you.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to the church.
Associate Pastor Mireya San.
What weight are you carrying?
Before you speak… check what you are consuming.
Not everything that enters your mind is harmless. Some things feed you, but others poison you. And sooner or later, that will come out of your mouth.
“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
(Luke 6:45)
What you consume defines you
Your heart is not contaminated overnight.
It fills little by little.
Thoughts, conversations, attitudes… everything accumulates. And before you realize it, you are already walking in the wrong direction.
That’s where “spiritual weight” begins:
- wrong thoughts
- bad attitudes
- lack of sincerity
- loss of honesty
And then something even more dangerous appears:
hypocrisy.
The danger of rejecting the truth
When you get used to consuming what is wrong, there comes a point where you begin to reject the truth you once knew.
It’s not ignorance… it’s a decision.
That’s why this is the moment to act:
what you know is true, practice it.
Be careful with an idle mind
An empty mind will always be filled with something.
“Do not be conformed to this world…”
(Romans 12:2)
The problem is that many people feed on what does not build them up:
- empty conversations
- constant distractions
- purposeless content
That produces a mind without direction.
And a mind without direction… ends in destruction.
Not every counsel comes from God
There are people who call everything “good.”
They lack discernment.
They cannot distinguish between what comes from God and what comes from the enemy.
But the truth is clear:
- God = life
- Devil = death
(John 10:10)
Your weight determines your destiny
Your spiritual life is not neutral.
It is either moving forward… or moving backward.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
(Proverbs 18:21)
According to what you consume, you speak.
According to what you speak, you live.
Don’t just talk about God… live in Him
It is not enough to mention God.
It is not enough to know verses.
God wants relationship.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock…”
(Revelation 3:20)
God is already speaking.
The question is:
Are you listening?
The decision is yours
God does not force the door open.
You choose to open it.
If your ear is distracted, you will not hear.
If you do not hear, you will not respond.
And if you do not respond, nothing will change.
Conclusion
Examine what you are consuming.
Examine what you are speaking.
Examine what you are becoming.
Christ is coming soon.
“Pay attention, and may God give you understanding in everything.”
(2 Timothy 2:7)
