Jesus wants you to know Him, be your advocate, your provider - your ultimate best friend. He also has a plan for you and wants to help you as you walk through life. In fact, He said in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has amazing plans for your life, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” And the Bible says that God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son—Jesus Christ—so you can have eternal life with Him!
THERE'S HOPE!
The problem is that we are humans and we’ve made mistakes (Romans 3:23). Big or small, the Bible calls these mistakes, “sin” and even one sin keeps us from having a relationship with God, and eventually leads to death. (Romans 6:23). But there is good news! Through Christ, you have hope! Jesus is waiting with open arms to save you—all you need to do is turn away from sin and towards Him (the Bible calls this, repentance), and He’ll forgive you completely. When you do this, you’re giving Jesus all your brokenness, and in exchange He gives you everything He has for you: all His righteousness (right-ness), peace and healing for your heart, a restored relationship with Him, and a fresh start in life.
YOU ARE FIERCELY LOVED AND FORGIVEN.
God created you…He designed you in His image! And before you were even born, Jesus died for you, to save you from all your sins—past, present and future. He knew the choices you would make, and He chose to save you anyway! No matter what you’ve done or been through, He loves you deeply and wants to have a real, honest relationship with you.
SIMPLE STEPS TOWARDS THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Jesus was God’s perfect son (without any fault) and yet He chose to take on all of our sin and die for us. For you! Then God raised Him from the dead and He became the only way to be saved.
Knowing Jesus is simply recognizing your need for Him, believing that He died and was resurrected for you… and inviting Him to be your friend, your advocate, your Savior.
READY FOR YOUR NEW BEGINNING?
God says in Romans 10:9 that if we make Jesus Lord (the leader) of our lives, and believe that He was raised from the dead, we will be saved. If you’re ready to start a new life with Jesus leading you and experience His true peace and joy in your life, pray this simple prayer out loud:
WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
Now you may be asking, What do I do now that I have accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior? You have taken the first step. You may not feel different today, but know that Christ has begun to work within you.
Colossians 2: 6-7(NKJV) says, "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving".
You can be rooted and build up in Him through prayer, the study of God's Word, (the Bible), and allow the Holy Spirit to direct you.
The promise of the Word of God, and the words that Jesus said to his disciples are these: John 10:10 (NKJV) "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly".
